He knew about the snakes that thrived here so each step he made sure there was nothing near them. his blue eyes roamed around making sure that there was nothing. but so far so good. his ears were pricked, acoustics cupping any faint noises that might come to them. he enjoyed the beautiful weather that was happening lately. the spring time had definitely come and it was a good thing. the rainy weather had vanished and now the sun was shining brightly down. the ground was warm in places where the sunbeams had touched so he eventually reached the edge of the ridge and peered down over the vast valley that was spread out before him. most of it was nothing more than sand and dirt...but there were a few patches of greenery spread about. he let out a soft sigh and tucked his hindquarters into a sitting position; forelegs keeping his upper body erect. he sat there wondering if anyone else would join him

Sometimes her curiosity went too far, and it was quickly becoming apparent to Lena that this was one of those times. The name of this place had intrigued the shepherd, but now she was beginning to regret her decisions to come her. From every direction there seemed to be hissing, rattling, and shuffling. She hadn’t been this jumpy in a long time, and now every sound was making her heart race and her fur stand on end. Even the warm sun couldn’t make her calm down, even though it was some of the best weather in a long while. Turning the corner, the sight of another dog made Lena jumped and skitter back. She hadn’t been expecting to see anyone else here, and with her already on edge, the sight was making her want to run. ”H- hi. Who are you?” She normally tried to be a bright and happy person, but when she was caught off guard like this she couldn’t help but be scared and stutter a bit. Nikko
