The Renegades is an all pox-positive pack started by Ember. Ember believed that all pox-positives should have a safe place to call home where they could be surrounded by others who were just like them. The Renegades aim to give shelter and community to any pox-positive who comes into their territory. They are highly protective of their own canines, and they can be overly hostile to those who wander onto their territory who are not infected with the parasite. They are very paranoid about non-parasite dogs coming into their territory with the intention to kill infected dogs, and they will chase, attack, or even kill intruders in their territory. To their pack members, they are very kind. They are a close-knit pack that wishes for everyone to feel welcome, safe, and happy. They never hurt one another, except in self-defense, and they always make sure that senior canines, pups, and pregnant and nursing canines get food before the rest of the pack.
The Territory
The Renegades reside in an old warehouse filled with shelves. Many of the shelves had semi-intact cardboard boxes on them which are now used for storage for the pack, and even the completely destroyed ones are used to cushion the floor for sleeping. One of the doors to the warehouse has been propped up slightly to serve as an entrance. Other than that, the Renegades consider the surrounding parking lot and streets part of their territory.
The Pack Rules
The Renegades have a set of rules that they follow:
i. Violence between pack members is forbidden unless it is in self-defense.
ii. Always help infected canines that come looking for help, and do not harm infected canines that come into the territory unless it is in self-defense.
iii. Keep all non-infected canines out of the territory at all costs. Do not harm pregnant canines or pups, infected or not, that come into the territory unless it is in self-defense. Chase them away if possible.
iv. Do not speak with non-infected canines unless it is to get them out of our territory, interrogation, for trading, or otherwise authorized by the alpha. All other interaction with non-infected canines will be considered an act of treason against the pack.
The Ranks
Alpha - The alpha is the leader of the pack. They are the ones in control and make most decisions about the pack with input from the lieutenants. The alpha commonly joins in on hunting, guarding, or training recruits, however, their main job is making sure the pack is running smoothly.

Lieutenants - Lieutenants are three canines that are specially chosen by the alpha. They do various tasks around the pack. One of their most important tasks is to oversee the training of recruits, choosing future ranks for recruits, and to see which pups are going to be ready to start their training soon and become recruits. They are also advisors to the alpha and help the alpha make important decisions about the pack's future.

Guards - Guards are the protectors of the pack. Some roam around the territory trying to find intruders or stop dogs from crossing their borders, while others stay close to the rest of the pack in the warehouse to make sure that they are safe and to protect them from possible intruders that get past the rest of the guards.

Hunters - Hunters provide food for the pack. They are skilled hunters and usually very fast. They spend most of their day hunting in small groups to provide food for the rest of the pack. Sometimes they hunt in larger groups to bring down larger prey.

Recruits - Recruits are pack members that have not yet been assigned a rank and are still in training. They can be any age as long as they are new to the pack. All new members of the pack will be assigned this rank until the lieutenant and alpha evaluate which rank would be right for them. For young canines that have no experience, this process can take months as they are being trained. For older canines that already have fighting or hunting experience, this process may only take a week or even less.

Pups - Pups are the puppies of the pack. They are usually born into the pack, and they have not started training for their future ranks yet. Their training starts when the lieutenants and their family agree that they are ready, commonly around a few months old.
