Thanatos is a melanistic grey wolf. His fur is dark and coarse from the many fights he has been in. There are faded scars scattered across his body with the majority of them focused around his forelegs; these were self-inflicted. He stands at 2.8 feet from the shoulder down and weighs 180 pounds. His teether are sharp and yellowed, the teeth towards the back right of his mouth are chipped, causing him to prefer his left when eating. His eyes are a flaming gold, screaming of domiance and danger.

Thanatos has a deep hatred for outsiders. He has never trusted them. If one seeks to earn his trust, they must run in circles. Thanatos is never truly satisfied unless he sure he has someone under his control. There are few who can defy him without violent correction and even they are not truly safe from his wrath. He is a sadistic creature. One who enjoys the pain and suffering of others. He often tortures his prey just to satisfy his sadistic urges. He has even gone to the point of inflicting pain on himself just to feel it. He has a endless craving for power and bloodshed. He will stop at nothing to remain on top, no matter who or what might be foolish enough to stand in his way. Thanatos is always looking over his shoulder. His paranoia has followed him since he was born. Everyone was after him. Everyone was plotting against. Everyone wanted his place, his power, but if he was ruthless, a true monster, then no one would dare challenge him.
Despite this, Thanatos is a remarkable leader, even if his sadistic tendencies get in the way. He is direct and assertive, quick to dominate a situation. His way is the only way. To question it is to risk one's safety. There is only one who can really do so safely, but even they do not get away unscathed. He's straight to the point. A world like this has no time for the mealymouthed.
Thanatos has a particular dislike for small dogs. He finds them more fit to be his meals than anything else.

Thanatos was born in 2018, when humans still dominated the world; four years before the asteroid hit. He lived in a wild wolf pack with his mother and father; the alpha couple. Thanatos grew up watching his father's brutality as he ruled the pack. His father was merciless and was unforgiving, especially towards his only son. His father's cruelty drove him to the wall. His father constantly attacked him as a pup to make sure he would be ready for anything. He constantly found himself nipping at his forelegs out of fear, to which his father only berated and beat him more for 'weakness'. This only made his paranoia grow worse as it continued until Thanatos finally snapped and killed his father. He hadn't meant to but he couldn't shake the feeling that he enjoyed it. The stench of blood, the cries of shock, the sting of pain in his body. With that, he claimed the pack and began to lead. Thanatos was two years old; 2019
That was the year things quickly changed. Humans began encroaching on the pack lands. They were taking more and more to build their stores and homes. It was only a matter of time before they took over completely. A fire caused by careless teenagers engulfed his home, killing many of his pack, but most importantly, his mother. Thanatos was forced to flee where he began a lowly scavenger, avoiding humans and constantly looking over his shoulder. This continued for a year; 2020
When the asteroid hit, his world changed. Though not infected, there was now no humans. As the world around him changed, he watched creatures die out, but he also witness the establishment of canines as rulers of the Earth. He met a special canine, one who could calm him like no other, one who he was never suspecting treason of, one who would never let him leave; 2021
Thanatos was naturally drawn to the Urbex Pack. Stories were told that drew him closer. They were ruthless. They were vicious. They were just what he was looking for. He joined himself with their pack. He waited, and waited, and when the time came, he slew the former Alpha, taking the mantle for himself.
